A few weeks of special savings and free grocery items are headed to Kroger’s Boost savings program members, the grocery chain announced this week.
The special savings program requires members to pay a yearly fee in return for free delivery, 2X fuel points and savings on groceries, in addition to the same sale and digital coupons that the grocer offers to all of its customers.
Now through July 23, Kroger’s first Boost Bonus Days event, offers exclusive access to additional discounts, including half off its Boost membership.
Boost members who join now will receive free, select Kroger brand items offered during the two weeks and discounts on membership.

The total savings is more than $60, according to the Kroger Co. New members will receive 50% off an annual membership. Current members also receive 50% off if they extend their membership during the mega-sale event.
“Boost by Kroger Plus offers members incredible savings every day, and those savings are about to get even bigger with Boost Bonus Days,” says Tom Duncan, Kroger’s vice president of marketing in a news release. “Boost has already saved members millions on fuel, groceries and delivery fees, and now we are thrilled to celebrate our members with more discounts, free items and the opportunity to join or lock in another year of savings with half-off annual memberships.”

The Kroger Co. boasts that its Boost members “can save up to “$1,000 per year on fuel, groceries and delivery fees, any way they shop.” That savings, Kroger says, is based on a Boost $99 membership with a $91 weekly grocery spend based on two deliveries per week and redeeming fuel points two times a month with 13 gallons of fuel.
