Are you ready to rock…with the Muppets?
So The Muppets are all set to take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but until now, Disney has been pretty quiet about how that’s going to work out. Now, we know that the new ride is set to open in 2026, but what’s the story? Well, Disney just answered that question, and we know HOW the Muppets will fit into the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster ride.
First, Animal is pretty excited about taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster…
Here’s how The Muppets will take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. It all starts with the Electric Mayhem, who are headlining their biggest concert EVER. There’s just one big problem: no one knows where the band is. Meanwhile, G-Force Records will be looking a little different because the Muppets have officially taken over, with some help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse.
Outside G-Force Records, the large guitar has been given a groovy, colorful makeover inspired by Electric Mayhem’s van. The piano motif at the base will feature a golden key “as a nod to a certain far-out band leader.”
You’ve been given VIP passes, which means you can come inside the recording studio, where you discover the Electric Mayhem laying down some sweet tracks with the penguins acting as their audio engineers. Scooter is trying to convince the band to stop their jam session and is asking you to help the band get to the concert venue in time. Disney has confirmed that Scooter and the penguins will be animatronics.
You’ll get some help from friends at Muppet Labs and a fast limo to “take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time” while passing some iconic scenery and landmarks, which have all been given a Muppets twist, of course.
During your journey, you’ll be rocking out to Electric Mayhem, playing some of the most iconic, rockin’ hits in your ears to keep the music and adrenaline pumping.”
