New strategic partners, such as Crédit Agricole Régions Investissement and BFC Croissance, have joined the venture, further strengthening their confidence in the company’s growth trajectory and its sustainable business model.
Growth potential for eco-tourism
Founded in 2009, the group offers eco-friendly stays in treehouses or floating cabins, spread across five properties in key regions of France, such as Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Hauts-de-France, and Provence-Alpes-Côte-D’Azur. Although eco-tourism still represents a modest share of the overall tourism market in France, it is experiencing strong growth, supported by increased awareness among travelers about the environmental impact of their stays and a desire for local and authentic experiences. This context supports the expansion of Coucoo Cabanes, which is well-positioned to meet these new expectations.
Support from key investors
This new funding round will support the group’s expansion with the opening of six new properties. Strategic investors, such as Crédit Agricole Régions Investissement and BFC Croissance, join the historical partners, including Bpifrance, consolidating the shared confidence in the group’s growth strategy and its values related to sustainability and local development.
“We are very pleased to join Gaspard de Moustier and Emmanuel de La Bédoyère in the capital of the Coucoo Cabanes group for an ambitious development project that they want to be meaningful and aligned with the values we share, namely the preservation and development of activity in our territories and environmental preservation.” – David VALET, Investment Director at CARVEST
A commitment to a sustainable future
“We are delighted to renew our commitment to Coucoo Cabanes. This reinvestment demonstrates our deep conviction in the strength of the business model, the relevance of its positioning and the inspiring vision of its founders. The growth potential of eco-tourism is considerable, and Coucoo Cabanes is ideally placed to be a leading player in this field. ” – For Bpifrance, Louis Janneau, Investment Director in the Tourism & Leisure division of Bpifrance
“BFC Croissance is proud to partner with Gaspard de Moustier, Emmanuel de La Bédoyère, and the entire team behind the Coucoo Cabanes project. This unique concept, combining eco-responsible tourism and hotel excellence, perfectly embodies the values we stand for. It seemed only natural for us to support this ambitious development, rooted in our region and committed to environmental preservation.” – Bastien Borne, BFC Croissance
At the HOF23 event, Gaspard de Moustier, co-founder of Coucoo Cabanes, spoke about the importance of creating custom-made projects and continuously improving them. His approach to eco-tourism, which blends sustainability and customer experience, reflects his values of responsible and local growth.
A long-term growth vision
Coucoo Cabanes intends to continue being a major player in eco-tourism in France by expanding its network of eco-responsible destinations, adapted to an ever-evolving market. The financial support from key investors will enable the group to meet the growing demand for sustainable travel while positively contributing to local economies and preserving the natural environment.
