Founded in 2016, Irwin Brewing Company is an award-winning craft brewery with a 15
BBL brewhouse and 120 BBLs of fermentation capacity. Irwin Brewing Company sells
and self-distributes its ales and lagers to both on-premise bars, restaurants, and
entertainment venue accounts as well as to off-premise retailer accounts, such as liquor
stores, beverage centers, and convenience and grocery stores.
Position Summary
Irwin Brewing Company is seeking a business-minded, growth-oriented Sales and Marketing Manager who will play a pivotal role in increasing our brand awareness and expanding our market presence. This position will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to promote our products and increase sales revenue, and will lead a team of sales and operations staff to execute self-distribution logistics. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine a passion for craft beer with expertise in sales and marketing to help grow our business, and will be the public face of the IBC by becoming more visible and involved with large account customers and the retail public, engaged at local beer festivals and IBC’s tap room, Public House. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 8 years related experience and/or training, or a relevant combination of education and experience, as well as a valid driver’s license and clean MVR. The ideal candidate will have non-beer alternative beverage production experience. This full time, year round position starts at $65,000 annually plus sales commissions, depending on experience and qualifications. Roles and Responsibilities
Position Purpose
- To develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to promote our products and increase sales revenue. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine a passion for craft beer with expertise in sales and marketing to help grow our business, and will be the public face of the IBC by becoming more visible and involved with large account customers and the retail public, engaged at local beer festivals and IBC’s tap room, Public House.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive sales/marketing plans including budgets to achieve sales targets, drive self-distribution and volume in both on- and off-premise accounts.
- Manage account target list to improve distribution efficiencies and to generate new business.
- Provide training, guidance and support to sales and delivery teams as needed.
- Collaborate with the production team to confirm adequate inventory levels, ensure timely production and packaging, develop timely product launches, and help manage self-distribution.
- Plan and execute Irwin Brewing Co’s presence at promotions, events, festivals, and tastings, etc. to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Oversee administration of all company, territory, account, product and sales-related data and reports to ensure 100% integrity across all platforms and software programs.
- Plan and execute timely marketing campaigns across various physical and digital channels, including social media, email, the company tap room, etc. to promote our brand and products.
- Analyze sales and marketing data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to identify that IBC is priced/positioned properly vs competitors, and initiate action for growth.
- Perform price analysis and strategies to ensure that pricing is on brand while maximizing company margin/profit.
- Understand current brewery margins and develop objectives to improve margin.
Qualifications
- 5 – 8 years of related experience and/or training, or relevant combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Requirements
- Capable of standing for long periods of time and to perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to move up to 160 pounds.
- Ability to raise your arms over your head and twist around.
- Capable of safe and competent work on and around potentially hazardous machinery, equipment, chemicals and systems.
- Ability to work in an environment with a high noise level.
