Kroger is offering a selection of freebies and other perks to shoppers who sign up for the company’s paid membership plan before July 23.
The “boost bonus days” event promises savings of up to $60 in value, according to a news release.
“Boost by Kroger Plus offers members incredible savings every day, and those savings are about to get even bigger with Boost Bonus Days,” said Tom Duncan, Kroger’s vice president of marketing, in the news release.
Here’s what we know about it.
Free Kroger brand items offered to Boost members
Shoppers who sign up during “Boost Bonus Days” will receive free Kroger-brand items and other deals totaling more than $60 in savings after signing up for a paid membership, which begins at the cost of $59 a year, the company said.
The free items, limited to one per membership,, include the following:
- Cookies: Simple Truth or Simple Truth Organic Place and Bake Cookies.
- Spices: Any variety of Kroger brand spices.
- Cereal: Any variety, any size of Kroger brand cold cereal.
- Pasta: Any variety of Private Selection dry pasta, 16-ounce size.
- Bacon: Any variety of 1 pound Kroger brand bacon.
- Sandwich bags: Kroger brand sandwich bags.
How much is a Boost membership for Kroger?
Kroger has two membership tiers, a fee that must be paid in a single payment, the company said.
- $59 per year for unlimited free, next-day delivery with a minimum $35 order.
- $99 per year for free delivery in as little as two hours on grocery orders of $35 or more.
What other savings do you get from a Boost membership?
Boost members, the company says, are also eligible to receive the following deals:
- Monthly offers and select free items across the store.
- Two free virtual appointments with a Kroger Health nutrition expert.
- 2X Kroger fuel points for every $1 spent, plus additional fuel points during fuel promotions. For each 100 points, both Boost and Kroger Plus customers can save 10 cents per gallon of fuel, up to $1 per gallon.
Customers can also get 50% off a new annual membership and current members can receive half-off their next year annual membership.
How to get the Kroger membership discount
To enroll, new and existing Boost members can get a discount by going online to Kroger.com, or the Kroger App, and clipping a digital coupon for both the products and the membership from now until July 23.
Kroger touts Boost members “can save up to $1,000 per year on fuel, groceries and delivery fees.” That calculation, company says, is based on a Boost $99 membership for shoppers who spend at least $91 a week on groceries, along with two deliveries per week, and redeem fuel points twice a month with 13 gallons of fuel.
