If you’re looking for insurance, you’re not just going to get the typical “7-minute quote” at Mariano Oliveri State Farm.
“We actually sit down with you and try to get your personalized plan. We try to insure to what’s important to you. We are more than insurance agents, we are risk advisers. We tell you what you’re facing, and we tell you what we think is the best choice,” said Oliveri, agent/owner of Mariano Oliveri State Farm, 3131 E. Center St. Ext., Warsaw, before a ribbon-cutting Friday with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
He said they also handle service in-office.
“Many other places, you call them up, they just move you to an 800 number. We are here for you from the beginning to the end. And I think that’s a great value that not many other people offer anymore,” Oliveri stated.
He and his office know the ins and outs of State Farm, he said, and they’re local.
“We are a captive agency, so we only offer State Farm and we specialize in all State Farm products,” he said. “State Farm has over 300 products. They literally go from your cars and motorcycles to your homes and renters and condos to life insurance – term, whole life and disability products. So we have such a range of products.”
Oliveri said the office used to be Linda Chastain’s, but after 20 years she decided to retire. State Farm then hired Oliveri to replace her.
“We just technically took over June 1, 2025,” he said.
Before opening the Warsaw office, Oliveri had over three years of experience with Andrew Mitchell State Farm, serving as the office manager there in Michigan City.
“I specialized in life insurance more than anything else, but I do have experience in property and casualty, which is your home and car and boats – all the fun stuff. Some health, just we don’t do major health, but we do disability as well. Life insurance is where I shine,” Oliveri stated.
Along with insurance, he said he’s now also an investment adviser. “So, besides an insurance agent, I also took the Series 6, 63 and 65, and I can do investments as well,” he said.
Currently, Oliveri has three full-time employees, but he is hiring for another two.
“I would like to have five full-time team members. Fun fact: They’re not called State Farm agents, they’re just agent team members, and I would like to have five people and within another three years open another State Farm office because I love this job,” he said.
Within 10 years, his goal is to have three full-time agencies open within an hour’s drive of Warsaw.

“I would just like people to know that I’m here for the long run. I’m not here just to make money off of them. I want to improve this community, I want to give back to the community, I want people to know that Mariano actually cares. I know this is too easy to say and I need to show, but I just moved here, I’m not planning to go anywhere and I just want to make Warsaw better,” he concluded.
